The world view presented by so-called mainstream sources has left many people dissatisfied, and with good reason. Criminy, every freaking sentence is a separate paragraph! Do you know how annoying that is? It's obvious that the team of "researchers" that wrote this book doesn't quite have a full grasp of the English language. It's wirtten as a series of short, simple sentences that basically say the same thing over and over without providing any real "meat." Sentences frequently start with "Science says that . . .", which is a dead giveaway that the authors don't really know what they're talking about. Real writers that have real material will tell you who said it, when and where they said it, why they said it, and how it relates to the material at hand. This book is comprised of overly generalized, pseudo-mystical statements that sound a lot like the ruminations of a drunk guy who believes that alcohol has made him very wise, or even worse, a cheap ploy to get people to cough up twenty-five dollars. My advice: read the Seth material instead!Product details

I love this book. The information presented in this book is incredible, written in a totally straightforward and comprehensible manner. It makes so much sense! I have often felt lost in my life, but reading this book is exactly what I needed. It is a real eye-opener.
I'm exited about the topic and it is a moving experience to read it.

The book is popular because it introduces to the public at large the difference between fact, based on science and and fiction, based on false beliefs and crippling fears.
It rewards the reader with mental liberation, which is important to the the health of body..

I was hoping for an interesting discussion on metaphysics but instead got this rambling nonsense. I should have taken the hint from the blurb that these guys have no idea about reality. A meta analysis of all the research into telepathy shows there is no documentary evidence of a real phenomenon to ignore.
But read it anyway I did. One saving grace is that it is only a one and a half hour read. I read the occasional 'out there' piece because it is interesting to see the views of other people and why they believe them but this book is really 'out there'. I think what peeved me the most is that it is presented as a manual and the constant lack of understanding of scientific concepts and taking them to absurdity.
Sure most of the space inside an atom is empty but we have good working definitions on what solids are. Energy isn't some airy fairy concept that can be interchanged for whatever bizarre concept you have but is a measure of how much work can be performed on an object. Thoughts are not energy - energy is consumed to produce them. It is unclear in the book but whilst the placebo effect is well documented most modern medications and procedures have been through randomized control trials that show they are better than the placebo effect alone. Lastly, there are facts, not just beliefs. However, new evidence may change our understanding of the facts.
An interesting read. Not much new ground covered, but a fairly good review of the current thinking regarding LOA and science. A few typos to get past, but overall a pretty good primer on the subject.
